IFBC COMING TO SEATTLE

IFBC, The International Food Blogger’s Conference for bloggers, food writers, cookbook authors, publishers, agents, editors, food brand and restaurant marketers, and public relations professionals, is coming to Seattle in September. I’ve never been to a blogger’s conference before, my usual method of operation is to do something first and learn how later, but this is the biggie and it’s coming to me!

I signed up just in time ~ the very next day they announced that they were sold out. If any of you are interested in coming, you can put your name on the waiting list here: https://www.zephyradventures.com/IFBCwaitlist.htm.
If you are a food blogger, as of 2013, they are giving us a really special deal! (The hotel is not cheap, but there is a Facebook page where you can look for a roommate ~ or two or three.)

Organized by Foodista.com and Zephyr Adventures, IFBC was the first-ever conference for food bloggers, first held in May of 2009. The series focuses on three themes: food, writing, and technology. This event will feature  educational sessions, personal networking opportunities, and what 95% of attendees say is the best food and wine of any blogging conference!

I’m looking forward to meeting many of my fellow bloggers, like Carolyn Ketchum, who has a terrific blog at: http://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/. If you can’t get in this time, sign up for the IFBC newsletter so you’ll be notified about the next one.

Dates: September 20 – 22, 2013
Location: W Hotel, Seattle, WA
Registration Fee: $395 / $95

The working title for my first book was, “You’ll Never Know What You Are Missing.” It summed up my goal: to make eating for health synonymous with eating for pleasure. Once you discover the secret, you will find that the very best food for weight management, longevity, the treatment and prevention of disease, and over-all health and happiness is also the most sumptuous, satisfying, and indulgent way of eating the world has to offer. You are invited to the feast. Enjoy!
