MENU FOR VALENTINES DAY

Here’s what I made for my Valentine:

Sliced tomatoes with Fresh Basil, Balsamic Vinegar, and Olive Oil

Crispy Braised Duck Legs with Vegetables (from my section in Low-Carbing Among Friends Vol.3)

Oven Roasted Asparagus (from Nourished)

Cranberry Sauce (also from Nourished)

Cherry Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream

Everything was really easy (don’t tell my husband). The pie is a cherry version of my Three Fruit pie from a previous blog post here: http://goo.gl/Ztb0c I prebaked the bottom crust and a separate crust round for the top, cooked the filling on the stove top, and assembled the pie just before serving as in the first recipe. I’m still tweaking the crust, but not quite ready to share the recipe.

On another subject, how do you like my newly designed blog? I had complaints that the old white on black text was hard on the eyes (mine too) so I hope you like this better. I still have to go back through five years of posts and correct any formatting errors caused by the new template.

Happy Valentines Day!

The working title for my first book was, “You’ll Never Know What You Are Missing.” It summed up my goal: to make eating for health synonymous with eating for pleasure. Once you discover the secret, you will find that the very best food for weight management, longevity, the treatment and prevention of disease, and over-all health and happiness is also the most sumptuous, satisfying, and indulgent way of eating the world has to offer. You are invited to the feast. Enjoy!
